A few months ago I submitted a version of the poem below to a local magazine called 'Pressed'.

Although I was quite proud of the piece, the editors decided it 'still needed work' ie: it wasn't up to scratch, and didn't publish in the October issue of their magazine.

Despite this, on the eve of Nipper's arrival I've dusted it off and tweeked it/remixed it a little for the whole world to see.
